We understand that not everyone might have a financial plan and be able to get insurance before a surgery comes up. We’ve designed Samos SRI so that Individuals can get coverage when they need it most.
Medical procedures have evolved significantly throughout time but they’re still not 100% risk free. SRI was developed to help lower the financial stress often felt before a surgical procedure, so you can focus on recovery and the road ahead.
How much does it cost?
Premiums are calculated based on age, your surgical procedure and desired insurance coverage. Premiums start at less than $70 for $50k in coverage.
What coverage do you offer?
Surgical Risk insurance (SRI) offers coverage for most elective surgeries. Coverage is provided from the time of admission to the time of discharge for insurance benefits starting at $20k.
Is my procedure covered?
We cover hundreds of elective procedures which account for most procedures conducted annually. We will confirm whether or not your procedure is covered during the application process
What if my procedure is rescheduled?
We understand things can happen. If your procedure is rescheduled let us know 48 hours before your new admission date.
What are Covered Elective Medical Procedures or Surgeries?
Procedures or Surgeries that are scheduled in advance and performed by a licensed Physician in a Licensed Surgical Facility or Hospital, and do not involve acute trauma, a medical emergency, a life-threatening condition or a request for a procedure or surgery on an urgent category basis.
Are there medical requirements?
There are no medical related questions or exams other than identifying the surgery you are having.

How soon before my Covered Elective Medical Procedure or Surgery do I need to sign-up?
You must sign up at least 48 hours before your planned admission date for your covered Elective Medical Procedure or Surgery
Who can apply for coverage?
Currently we offer Surgical Risk Insurance(SRI) coverage to US Residents aged 20-69 that reside in a state where coverage is currently offered.
